If it’s one of your life’s ambitions to complete a canoeing trip in South Africa, an Orange River rafting(canoeing) trip is a life-changing experience that will leave you feeling restored and revitalised and with a sense of achievement.

Your Orange River rafting adventure begins at our beautiful Camp at Duin in die Weg. The camp boasts accommodation (camping to chalets) – with hot showers, flush toilets and beautiful views. Your vehicle will be safe at the Camp. At the end point of the trip, a vehicle awaits to transport you back to the base camp.

Picture it – a full day of paddling along the serene Orange River. You can sleep next to the fire in the open air. One of the few places left where this can be done. Our eam will provide delicious meals while you relax and enjoy the peaceful surrounds. They will ensure that your trip is completely safe.

Your only responsibility when with us, is to have fun and experience as much of the beautiful Green Kalahari landscape as possible.

PACKAGES

We have a variety of options, that includes camping, river trips and hikes. Young or old, schools & students, corporate groups and families are all welcome!

Trips are from half-days – 5 days and all start from the Duin in die Weg Guest farm. The route are suitable for beginners and the whole family, and can be paddled throughout the year. We have designated camp sites on route with entry roads. No cross border permits are needed. We normally work on a minimum group size of 8 – 12 people.

EQUIPMENT

We supply qualified staff, 2-man inflatable rafts (crocs), equipment (paddles, life jackets), first aid kit, all meals, catering, snacks, teas /coffees, fires, 45 l cooler boxes, waterproof packing space for your stuff (25-litre buckets or dry bags) , portable chemical toilet (loo with a view) and experienced qualified guides. We also provide transfer to and back to Duin in die Weg. Guides make fires, cook / braai, set up the toilets daily, boil kettles – and take good care of you.
