U/13 RUGBY TOURNAMENT (March holidays)

We aim to host 12 teams in total. It will be hosted at our wonderful facilities.

The tournament strives to create a good foundation for coaches, teams and players so that they are well prepared for the coming season – and the future. The Coaches’ program runs alongside the player program. You can continuously communicate with our coaches, apply new skills, ask questions and focus on aspects of coaching that you want to develop further. What also makes this such a special tournament, is the fact that we offer three specialized coaching clinics, giving players and coaches the opportunity to apply the clinic’s specific skills in the three matches.

We strive to make a difference in the lives of people – and that’s why we offer more than just coaching and matches. The experience is combined with team building sessions (canoe on the river, night march) and other adventurous activities.

The cost includes the following:

– Comfortable, neat accommodation
– Balanced meals (3 / day). A packed lunch option is available for the last morning, to enjoy on the go, for those who want to leave early before breakfast.
– Chaperones
– Three professional team and group clinics by SAS Rugby (Stellenbosch) and Griquas Rugby Union
– Three matches with high quality first aid
– Quality Referees (WPRVU), Ben Theron, and his team
– Game analyses by Statspro – with video recordings of matches, facilities for viewing the videos and consultations with our guest coaches
– T-shirt (players) and golf shirt (coaches)
– Washing of play wear after matches
– Team building activities (obstacle course, river sailing)
– Functions for coaches
– Evening activities (such as braai, treasure hunt, movie night, closing function)
– Recreational activities (swimming, volleyball, cricket, football)

Parents are welcome to join us! Duin in die Weg has a highly recommended campsite with good facilities under the beautiful Camelthorn trees and our previous parents will testify thereto. There are also various guesthouses in the area (info on our web site).

We are looking forward to a wonderful tournament of great rugby and good sportsmanship!
